why do you have drop brackets on your xj?

I just bought the kit off Ebay for $200 minus the bolts. I put them on last weekend. I hoped it would improve the ride after cranking a Acos spacer up front to around 3-4 inches. It worked!!!

I will probably lift it around 4.5 in the future with a longer coil springs. The brackets will allow for this. I have owned the Jeep for about 8 years and decided it was time for an upgrade. I am replacing the cracked exhaust manifold and restrictive stock down pipe next week with a headers and custom down pipe. :)

Yes, I just bought it

And yes there is no rocks here in FL,,,,but my club www.nwfl4x4.com goes to an orv park every 3-4 months and crawl the rocks. This rig has been super capable and has done extremely well on the rocks. We have been to Tellico, Morris Mountain, Grey Rock, and Wind Rock ORV Parks and it has proven itself time and time again. I noticed ALL the negative and rude comments in that thread talking about this rig. Whats that about? I thought this was suppose to be a nice forum for XJ owners, not a forum of a bunch of trash talkers. I dont understand I guess. But you can see from the pics, it does wheel on the rocks JUST FINE!

Im confused... didnt the auction just end on 12/24? and about the comments in the other thread.. some people just come across wrong but most that posted have been around long enough to offer some good advice (no matter how it comes across). Take it for what you will and welcome to NAXJA!

This guy is on my club. He didnt get his reserve price on Ebay. I bought it from him after that. Im sorry if I got a little perturbed about the remarks. I am excited about getting a new XJ rig and the 1st thing I see is people on this site trash talking my rig calling it a yuppy rig and basically saying its built retarded. I know it some things that need to be changed. No rig is perfect, not even the rigs of the trash talkers probably. Their rigs probably has stuff on them that I wouldnt agree with, but I would not come on a public thread and down talk their rigs. Thats just me though. I am more considerate than that. I have no doubt that there is ALOT of talent amongst this group and can offer ALOT of answers. So, thank you for the welcome and hopefully I can get this rig straightened out for the better.

Well.. welcome to this thread anyhow!

I like what has been done with the exo around the bushwackers, I like the wackers, have had them on a couple of my j's but don't like how they crack n break against the trees! exo is simplistic but functional, I would add a bit more tube in some places.

Have you got a pix that shows better the section behind the front flare and in front of the door. a straight-on side shot would do.

Drive What Ya Brung.. you'll never please all them.. all the time!

I used to really hate exo but it grows onya once you've replaced most of your sheet metal.

RockOn mr..
