Raptor Liner - Primer or bare metal

We have just replaced the floors in an XJ and will probably coat it with Raptor Liner. We haven't purchased the liner yet, so I was wondering should it be applied to bare metal or a primered surface?

Nevermind, we used Duplicolor Bed Armor.

Any pictures of the final product? I would like to see how it looks. Im new to the xj world and havent seen any done yet.
