Nicely done! Keeping with the budget theme. That would be the correct amount in Obama Bucks.

Apparently drifters prefer to spend their money on go instead of show...:D Them's some raggedy looking cars, but I bet they move great!

Kinda reminds me of a jeep. I have a feeling we'd all get along nicely :D

I get along just fine, the comradeship is a wonderful thing to experience. For example, one of the sponsored cars sheared the output shaft in the trans in two at about noon. Everyone had a helping hand pushing the car off the track and into the pits, some strangers had jack stands/jack ready, another fellow group was already on the phone with friends to get a spare tranny to the track asap. With all the help they received they were back on the track in about 4 hours.

Amateur drifting is about building your machine, taking it to the limits, enjoying the hard work you put into it, having a blast, meeting some awesome people, then limping it home to fix it for another day. Less competition mindset and more fun.

Much like people who actually ride the trails and their "wannabe" mallcrawlers the drift crowd has the same plague. We like to call them fanboys, they own a 240sx and put all this money into it only to look nice and create the hype.

After putting on a great show with the Falken mustang JR put it away and began drifting his personal, almost bone stock, 2010 mustang gt.

Yes i agree with you. I know some of each of these people. The fanboy stays at home and plays halo 3 all day, then spends what ever money he can get on interior lighting and a gauge pod for his completely stock engine. Hes been through 3 transmissions doin stupid shit with his car. He likes to pretend he has a 5spd and will periodicly put it in neutral while stopped on a hill to make it appear he has a stick. He drives an Oldsmobile Alero btw
Hes the kind of person that asks for help from me when he is replacing his speakers.... just shoot me.

I also know a person who is a genuine drifter. He went to an auto mech college and now works at a very high class car customization shop. They deal with all kinds of very nice and expensive cars. They do alot of work for the NFL Colts players. People spend tonnes of money there. He drives a 89 Supra with about 450RHP. Looks a little rusty and the headlights dont flip back down, but it flies!!! He offered to help me put in my lift kit for free when i get one. Very nice guy. You all would like him.
