I'm starting this thread to put all the ideas and bull shit of this build in one place. Since Ian and i no longer reside under one roof, this give us a place to share ideas and such.

Chapter one: a pile of spare junk

Enter one 1991 XJ
300k 4.0 AX15
no axles no case no wheels no tires.....but it does have sliders

Thanks to the build on Steph's ZJ we have a spare set of axles

lp30 3.73s and CV shafts
c clip d 35 with 3.73s and disc brakes

add one set of rear zj up country springs to the front and some spaghetti bastard packs out back for a SUA drop

add one left over 242 t case from another old project and the cv shaft to match the front axle.

minus sliders


add a set of ecco wheels and stock tires borrowed from planefixer

add a d30 detroit trutrac donated by JDXJ

and i think that brings us up to speed
