Question for the guys I trust.

Hey guys. I know that this should be a tech thing. I don't want to get the normal answer of "do a search". Plus I trust most of you for knowing what your talking about. I have been searching and have found that 15x10 rims aren't the best for my upcoming 35x12.50's. But how bad are 10" verses running an 8"? I'm thinking of Pro Comp MT's.

Anyway, I have a good deal? on a set of 5 "like new" 15X10 black steel rock crawler rims for $100.00. Should I pick them up, or wait for some 8"er's

Thanks for the input.

Daryl

I say wait for the 8's. The tire will flex better and add some protection to the rim's of the wheels. I don't recommend the Procrap MT though. They wear like crap unless you rotate every two months. Plus, they don't flex that great on the rocks.

Rocks? I've heard of things called rocks. Not exactly sure what they are.

But thanks for the thoughts, I hadn't thought about tire flex.

What tire would you recommend? Keeping in mind most all I run is dirt trails here in Kansas, and the trails that will be the Cofest once a year.

Anyone want to buy the 5 10X15 rock crawler rims, to be delivered at Cofest?

Daryl wait for the 8's and you shouldn't shy away for the Procraps. Alot of us run them and have no issues with them....

10s will make you sit a tad lower and increase your track width ++ more stable offcamber procraps suck ask Troy :laugh3:

Oh it's quite a hilarious little story about me, my Heep with it's worn 35" Pro Comp M/T's and a cheezy little trail known as "Indy"........ and a certain Co. Springs based spotter who's infamous last words were:

"Damn! I didn't think those procraps would grab that good!"

Followed by 45 minutes of winching using two well placed rigs to get my junk OFF of a 3' tall metal railing.

:laugh3: :laugh3: :laugh3: :laugh3: :laugh3:

(Dammit I wish I could figure out this picture posting crap...... )

My 31" pro comp muds went for about 30k, and still had some life in them, and they got me over HC. :D
