Ok, back on topic.....

These sorta stick to the new gen thread theme...... 31x10.50x15 KM2's..... 5 of 'em on 5 Ravines. Damn near brand new. Prev. owner said they gave his LJ death wobble and ditched 'em for larger Wrangler Authority tires. And...... he still has DW.....:shhh:

Unfortunately, he ran the KM2's long enough to put some cupping wear on the front 2 tires so they'll start off on the rear of the MJ.

Now I just need to find some 3" coils and some LCA's.

So are you planning on swapping the front clip?

Most likely not. Not unless I come across a super nice black front clip to do it with. But it's not really in the plans.

Good, because that thing is too cherry to do such things to.

At this time, plans are:

3" lift, shocks, rear D44 swap, 3:55 gears, maybe a lunchbox for the rear, lose the tool box and make some sort of bed mounted spare/storage configuration (maybe military boxes on each side of the spare mount) and either the Detours Back Bone or JCR/Hanson style winch bumper/XRC8.

Still gotta fix the sagging headliner and put a stereo in it.

Alternator shit the bed the other day too.......

That's actually how I'm planning on doing the bumpers on the WJ -- hard to get the curves with square stock...

Just make a bunch of slices in it and you can bend it around and weld it all back together.

If you want to use 1" square tube i have a die for it, I'm sure that would make for a super beefy bumper. :)

too far down the list of priorities for me to even think about the details, man...

Found this interesting. A guy on ComancheClub posted a scan of the orig. window sticker he found in his '91 Eliminator........Only difference between his and mine is color and mine doesn't have cruise control.

Dunno that I would have paid over $17K for an MJ........ I bought my '91 S10 4x4 extra cab short bed 4.3/5 speed for just over $14K brand new after graduating the Sheriff's Dept. academy....

The higher price when compared to the S-10, Ranger, and Toyota's is probably why there aren't a ton of them on the road and Jeep didn't continue building them. They were just asking too much for too little. You could pick up a decently outfitted half ton with a V8 like an F150 or CK1500 for about that much or just a tiny bit more!

I think this thread needs to be renamed "Troy's MJ A.D.D. Thread" as he is on his 4th or 5th "new gen" project MJ now. :)
