Project L.A.S.R.

Heres a neat little mod, I added a chrome decal from a WJ steering wheel to the "Jeep" logo on my driverside airbag, once apart I used and x-acto knife to cut through the plastic cover for the tabs to pop through then bent them over to hold them in place and presto, nice shiny bling !

took mine apart and use the holder brackets out of the ZJ Lower set and with some minor modification welded them in place

the lip was too close to the rear so I welded some washers to hold the upper part of the plastic retainer

and here it is completed

Thanks guys,

Just got back from shop and Damn, I'm kinda mad, jeep is still sitting there waiting to get painted, he hasn't done anything to it in a week. He seems like a good guy, and I'm trying to give small business a chance to succeed but I've about had it with his "time extensions", and I don't get alot of free days to be working on it, now hes says it wont be done til tomorrow night or Saturday.

I'm highly considering going and picking it up and doing it myself, the only downside is that I have to hassle the guy for my deposit back, and i don't really like drama. I've done a few cars with one step enamel and they turned out ok, I'm sure I can do the Base Coat / Clear Coat, just take my time.

I don't know, any opinions ?

Well me and the body shop guy came to terms last nite and I spent most of the day there today helping him til it was just about done, absolutely I will be going to pick it up at 730 tomorrow.

Heres the progress today:

started like this...

Excellent story Kris. I love reading rags to riches builds.

No respirator????:scared:

The Jeep looks good. After seeing it in person from the start, man it's come a long way in a short time. Great work Kris!!!

Score! Color looks good. Get a shot on the sunlight side, the shadows are messing with me in that picture.

alright done for today, put the door handles, latches and seals back on, also mocked up the grille assembly to get a look into the future
