New trans mount location.

Big dumb bellypan. Getting the countersink bit from a friend, so those hex heads won't be staying. Also ran out of gas so I couldn't bring up the ends of the rear crossmember to match. I'll handle that one night this week.

I also moved my LCA mounts outboard in order to clear the new front driveshaft I'll be making (1350 CV stuff). I checked tire and frame clearance and everything clears.

I was gonna say I have to countersink them for reduced drag...but there's no air in space

Looks good! When is shakedown #2 for this rig?

Thanks Bill. I wish I knew

I'm hoping for end of May, but we'll see what happens. The 440 is almost finished being built, just waiting for my uncle to put the finishing touches on porting the heads, then off to the machine shop for the weekend and one night during the week to button it up.

I'm trying to wrap up the underbelly/mounts as soon as I can so I can get started on exhaust/cooling and buttoning up the drivetrain.

i have conection for awdsome high speed runs, and amazing bbq after

Sounds tits.

Y-pipe was a bit more complicated than I anticipated but I think it came out pretty good.

Made the driver's side downpipe removeable in case I have to access the oil pan. Doubtful with a brand new engine, but I figured it was still a good idea.

I'll probably redo the brake line on the axle, and I'm going to point the ram fittings straight up instead of leaned back. Didn't realize that wasn't a good idea to begin with (traps air). The driver's side downpipe gets about 1/2" from the diff with it at full bump.

3" downpipes to a single 3" outlet. Should have plenty of flow. I'll finish the rest of it during the week.

U R THE MAN

440's are dumb, your welds are hoorible and you fabwork is pitiful. happy now

your brake fluid is going to hate you so bad.

But I'm not really sure where else you could run that line, except for maybe running a separate line from the frame on each side of the axle.

true. Pulling the coils out seems like a really good way to avoid any unpleasant surprises when it comes to clearance, I'm going to remember that.
