Those shift knobs will make your jeep flip over :D

In your particular case though, it won't matter because that has already happended to your jeep.

going by Cal's track record, i do not think it was the knobs :D

I just saw this thread. To hell with you both! I'll have you know we've taken that car out twice and only rolled it once!

Well maybe I should say on one occasion..

Long overdue for an update. First Line Mountain race this year is May 4th so I'm picking up the pace again to try and make it for that.

First things first, my throttle linkage was sticking on me, and I found out the cheap rod ends I purchased weren't smooth enough. Bought some new bronze insert ones from mcmaster @$14ea (sucked) but now the throttle is super smooth.

Also redid the switch panel due to the shifter cables getting in the way. Just raised it up 2" and redid my hack wiring. Added some weatherpacks to make servicing/adding switches easier.

I have a bunch of things I want/need to get done for the race including finalizing the hood and adding door bars, front tubing, rear bumper extension, then I need to tune the engine better and some other details. I figured I'd start with adding a dash.

I cut out two panels to cover up the driver/passenger side from the a-pillar to the center console tubing.

Added side pieces to cover up the gaps on both sides. Also bolted to the a-pillar from underneath (used rivnuts everywhere).

Added the doghouse for the gauges. 4 tabs hold it down against the two panels.

The 5" tach was an odd size, so I used a combo of my friends hole cutter on his milling machine and then a jigsaw when that failed . Works fine though.

I should be able to finish the dash and paint it all/install everything next weekend, including dropping the oil pan to add a bung for the oil temperature gauge and replace the shitty oil drain bung.

I was actually thinking about getting one and putting it right in front of me or hanging on one of the windshield spreaders.

I'd prob set it to 6300 or thereabouts so by the time I see it and shift I'm at about 6500.

I think the whole nose would fall off if I did that right now with no tube supporting it

Give me your airbumps.

I'd have no problem being sponsored by them. Send all the models for a photoshoot :D

You just gotta wear there products over your firesuit

Finished up the dash and shit over the week, then installed everything.

Picked up my own wideband O2 setup, it's an Innovative LC-1. More or less the standard in wideband O2 controllers. Calibrated the sensor and setup TunerStudio (tuning software I use with MS) to accept readings from it. They have an "autotune" function that should help with my fuel tables. Just mounted the controller to the firewall.

Center console cover I finished up. Added some cupholders and mounted the A/F ratio gauge, calibration LED/switch, and OBA air pressure gauge.

And everything buttoned up. Extra spot is for the oil temp gauge. Haven't dropped the oil pan to do that yet. If we don't go wheeling on Sunday (I'll know tomorrow) then I might drop it and go get it all setup.
