Well been slowly tearing the axles down and buying parts for them as I go. I have given my self somewhat of a deadline to get this all done. Got a group of friends and we always make a yearly trip out wheeling somewhere just to get away for the weekend. Looks like I got about 4 months to get this thing rolling.

Been trying to find the best place to get the front 5.13 gears from and install kits for both axles. If anybody has any insight on where to go let me know. Just trying to figure out exactly which install kits to choose that way I get the right ones the first time. Starting to get me confused a little bit.

Those are awesome tires! Gotta have beadlocks to get the most out of them. I ran mine at 5.5 psi.

Yea may look into beadlocks eventually. For right now they are just going on some rims to get it moving. Starting to get anxious to really start tearing it apart and building it up

I hate rusted parts. Anyone got any tips on how to remove stuck on brake drums? Looks like it is ceased up around axle flange on the 9".

Also, need to remove the knuckles on another axle but can't get the castle nuts to come off. About ready to just cut them off with cut off wheel.

Prybar behind drum and hit flange with hammer. Also hit the drum around the edge to help break the rust free.

Or wrap a heavy log chain around the axle and drag it down a rough road for an hour, shit will loosen up.

Tried this last night. It's like it welded itself to the axle flange and won't let go. Gonna try again at it tonight.

Spray some PB in around where the studs stick through and try to get it back there.

I have dealt with this a couple times, beat the **** out of it, its the only way.
