Figured I'd start a build thread for the M416 trailer. My plans are to make it a trailer to pull behind the Jeep at the farm, on roadtrips or haul stuff to the dump. From what I gather so far it's a '66. Manufacturer is currently unknown. It will be pretty well stock for now.
Here she is:

First order of business will be lights, check the bearings and seals, and sorting over to clear 31's.

That's a very clean looking trailer ya got there. Not much it needs. Just an observation, move the pintle on the tongue up to the higher hole so the trailer will sit more level. Its a temp solution until you get the tires sorted out.

Good find!! :D

That's my plan Phil if I can't SOA it and retain my hand brake. If I SOA it I think it will be level.

Drop hitch to level it.
I am going to convert by Bantam T3C back to SUA.

i always love these trailers.

i vote lengthen the tongue. your tail lights will thank you backing up, dont ask how i know.

Meh, they're steel! :)

ya.... so are mine.

Before or after you smashed them? :D I'm sure this build will get a little Walt-y in my decision making. Really though, I'm just glad it made it home.....the lugs on one wheel were all loose.....should have checked that!

youve got a great start though man... the regular checks, and it looks good to run as is.

buttttt.... you know you have to. ;)

Walt, a buddy posted a pic to my Facebook wall this morning of your jeep and trailer.

Oh....coulda swore that was your XJ....but now that I think of it, yours is flareless....

Got the wiring for the trailer and license plate bracket. I'll order my lights once I find some I like.
