Bill, say you are at the top of a hill, sitting level, and you have the winch line out, and are trying to pull someone up a hill. The winch line looks like it will rub on the tube directly in front of the hawse on a pull like that, no?

It might yes. It would have to be a pretty steep hill. The lowest point on the output of the fairlead is 5/8" above the top of that tube.

You've got a hawse, so you running rope Bill? Rope would probably slide over the tube no problem anyways. Not much difference between sliding on the hawse and sliding on the tube :dunno:

Here's the bumper all painted up. Tonight the work begins on what I hope will be the last of the tubework on this XJ, the A-Pillar to bumper hoop connections. Should be simple looking and hopefully will make that front hoop not stand out anymore being the only red tube up there.

HAHA! Very true! As you know the driver's side is already tweaked pretty good. I'm hoping it holds out, I've got a few more runs between now and Rocktober-Fest. After Rocktober-Fest I'll see about fixing it and re-doing some things. No drastic changes in the near future.

He already knows. I'm going to try to keep all four on the ground and that should prolong it's life.

:roflmao: cant argue that!! thats the main reason why all my tube and metal work will be black to match the rest of the jeep. Plus, you wouldnt wanna trash those nice pretty fenders, would you?
