look good. Where did you cut to underneath? Then pinch seam?

think again....you definatly want to tie those in to the unibody or the first thing you slam against or come down on will F up your floor. I came down on a rock and it jammed the rocker into the bottom of my doors and could not get them to open. I hammered into a tree on a tight corner hoping to pivot around it....folded up my passenger side floorboard and then screwed up the door fitting correctly. What I am getting at is you want to tie those in more than just a weld on top and bottom and call it good. If you see my Project WTFWIT thread, it has pics of how I tied mine in.
your fenders also arent in as bad shape as mine... the seam at the edge of the door is splitting and it already ratles in the wind. id hate to see how bad itd be without it attached at the bottom. they would turn into gull wings. You need the stiffies anyway, so if you are going to tie the rockers in wait until the stiffies are done and do it right.
You can just cut off the bottom of the fender and let it hang, it it really bothers you it's easy enough to make a bracket to reattach the fender. Mine have been hanging for several years.
The body gets wider then the "frame", the angle will allow you to keep the sliders following the body and still be tied into the "frame".
