Bling dude, Bling. There's something missing.... ah, the grill. Did you take it offf to do the front leafs? Go out and get some action shots, bling :laugh3:

I dig the front fender chop. Sweet.

Ummmm....Where's the steering?

Edit: oooops missed it, that's right... "in progress"

you forgot the most important stats:

Front Driveshaft Eliminator Kit
Draglink Eliminator Kit

it's a good start, but you really need to get some shorter shackles up front, take it from me, I did the leaf thing too. is that front crossmember a big piece of angle? that's the way I did it.

had to take front grille off and front bumper, there both inside the shop.
i made the rear bumper
the steering is still in the mail. putting high steer arms on it, and going to do the hydro assist with stock box.
fender chop was done with plasma cutter, and the fenders are goign to be taken off when the exo starts.

brett i think i got the idea from you. its angle (4" i think) with some 2" flat going under and beside the "frame rails"
i know the shackles have gotta go, im saving for some actuall lift springs, the springs i am using are wrangler stock leafs with an extra main leaf and a rancho full length AAL.

it doesnt have either driveshafts right now. the steering arms are in the mail, im still working on the driveshafts, the rear discs will be on next chance i have, and the shocks are in the shop waiting for installation. if i have missed anything im sure i have it, or will have it shortly

i hope thats not your DD, man....hellatious gas money, not to mention wear on your tires........hope you guys dont have laws requiring mud flaps and flares;)

You made the back bumper? Thats my old 92 Cherokee. I sold it to you last spring in Wisconsin. I made the back bumper and I chopped most of the sheetmetal. It looked a little better then that. I've got the pictures to prove it.

actually i know what jeep your talking about it was black with 35's?
you sold it to a guy named kyle, i tried to get that bumper off of him and he wouldnt come away from it, so he let me borrow it and i made this one off of your design :D mine mounts a little different than yours did.

kyle had that jeep and drove it for about a month, he fell asleep behind the wheel and ran off the road. the jeep rolled 3 or 4 times and hit 2 trees. the jeep was totaled.

you did a good job on that thing though looked really nice when he first brought it home.

what rear leaves do you have? i am doing pretty much the same thing, just with 60 front and 14bolt rear. leaves up front too.

what size rims?

When you do a leaf spring conversion upfront, what kind of lift springs do you use to match the rear? If you had a 4.5" lift spring in the rear, would you just use a matching 4.5" spring in the front? Seems like that'd be too easy... :dunno:

it depends on a lot of things, and you're probably gonna want to use Waggy or YJ springs for the front. I have 3.5" YJ springs giving me what I would guess is 7 inches of lift.

Look here.....Your rite about this kid Kyle who bought my 92. And it was black with 35s. Chopped fenders and all...... But that rear bumper I made a year ago. Wheather you bougt, traded, or stole I don't know? And don't care. But the fact remains that the bumper thats on the back of that XJ was built by ME. Just like a painter paints a portrait...They know there work and I know mine. It's still got the grayish black hammeredrite paint I shot on it. I don't mind people taken pride in showing there work off or if someone done it for them if they couldn't....But call it like it is.
