I bought a couple hunderd dollars worth of stuff from a Cherokee parts vendor and have been having big problems with them. Half of the order never came, and the part of it I did get never fit and is in the corner of the garage now. That was a year ago. For the last year I've been getting numerous emails about how the second part of the order was being shipped. Eventually I convinced the guy to just give me a refund on the part, and now I have been getting emails over the last few months giving an excuse why he hasn't done it and saying he would do it immediately... though I still don't have it.

The problem is that he is a fellow jeeper, and also someone on this board. I keep giving him the benefit of doubt, believing the excuses he gives me. I really don't want to burn bridges or hurt someones company, but this is ridiculous. What should I do?

Money is money....Business is business treat it like that you gave him ample time to refund or ship missing parts if you wanna throw some more away throw it here.......

If the individual's company is hurting you, you have to do what's necessary to protect your interests. As for burning bridges -- what bridges? If I was left in the lurch the way describe, I don't think I'd ever do business with the company again, so what bridge is there to worry about?

I suggest you pursue all normal avenues -- Better Business Bureau in the location of the company, small claims court in your home town, whatever you have in the arsenal, it's time to drag it out.

Um Yeah.... the original poster was kind and polite enough to ask for help without giving names.... pointing a finger at someone for them is plain rude and wrong... sorry....

Marcus, have you contacted the vendor and asked to refund everything? Ship it back to him and move on? I think that the vendor might choose to take that route as it gets you out of his hair :D Do remember though to be polite while doing so and he will be more willing to cooperate ( I used to work retail... I know ). In any case, drop me an email if you need help and or suggestions......

Btw, are you the guy I sold the RockIt to? :D

its time to stop giving him the benefit of the doudt and just demand an immediate remedy and i would even "threaten" him with letting his name out.. but thats a last resort. as jeepers we generally take care of our own, and you dont want to screw him.... but he's pretty much screwing a fellow jeeper already... is it all email or do you have a phone# for this guy? sounds like a "home business" with poor managment skill.... he probably knows he's over his head and doesnt know how to get out of dedt now.... its time for a DEMAND on your part with the threat of legal pursuit....
but in the end you may need to cut your loses and move on... as they say.."let the buyer beware"
good luck with this..

Ok, I'll fess up.

Marcus is referring to my new SMOR "Jeep Panties" business.

The silk screen machine programming got fowled up The panties that Marcus ordered should have said "Spank Me!", but instead said "I got yer DW right here!"

I appologize and will get some new panties on the brown truck Monday, ASAP!

Well, I've been waiting and waiting, emailing over and over again, and haven't heard back from the vendor. I would really appreciate it if everyone who reads this would PM Brian Harmon screen name 'xjnation' and lean on him to give me the refund he has been promising me for so many months. If he still doesn't, then I will be taking legal action, which I don't want to do, but I don't really have a choice. Please PM XJNATION and tell him to work this out. Thanks guys

Have you tried calling???? Does he have a number? I ussually believe that Email is not 100% guaranteed to reach unless I have a return receipt from the email that was sent

I have never found a phone number, and I have a couple different emails from him. Lately, I've been PMing him because I know that he has been getting on and I know that he will get the PMs. He responded one to a PM right after I started this thread, but has ignored 3-4 follow up messages from me. His messages have basically been the same for the last 9 months:

This was on July 18th

sorry guy...I should have money transfer n Monday or Tuesday and be able to get you your refund...its been really sparse on sales and work

Please PM him everyone

**Note from Moderators: This in not a good idea. Asking people to do that is not cool. People, do not go on a PM campaign**
