Price for Dana 44 rear at Pick 'n' Pull?

Does anyone know what they charge for one drum to drum? I saw three there last weekend, and this weekend is 1/2 price. The yard they are at always try and jack the prices, so I'm curious. Also saw at least three 8.25" Cryco's. Which do you recommend? I'm leaning D44.
Thanks for your input.

Thanks for the input Jes. I figured you would be unavailable so I called in some favors and got someone else to give me a hand. If I can make time to head up to the Cantina over the weekend I was thinking about taking the old motorbike for a ride up there. Where might we hook up on Sunday if i do go?

The spillway at Loon Lake, can't miss us.
I'll be heading back to SB on Sunday evening, gotta work Monday.

Wow, nice score! I've checked my local PNP a few times now (including the last 1/2 price weekend) and have only found one XJ there. Not one XJ44, one XJ... :tear:

the pnp on sunrise always has at least 15-20 xj's it seems, a bunch of explorers too. ill be looking for a 8.8 with 4.10's myself, and a 4cyl xj so i can grab the 4.10's outta there and do some cheapo gears. i decided to continue to keep the jeep cheap.

I dropped $89 on a XJ dana 44 on a half price weekend drum to drum.

Go early!!!
I got mine complete for $70 on half price weekend in July. Two axles were already gone out of XJ's and that was still Saturday. I got the last one so do go early.

those bastards at the rancho p-n-p charged me $250 earlier this year for a dana 30 complete without the brakes or steering. I wouldn't have paid it but i was on a deadline and already had pulled it before i new how much it was. I had to go back for the calipers and they charged me $50 for them, i spent 2 nights on my breaks untill i realized the calipers were trashed. I went to napa and spent $60 for a new set. I'm trying to stay away from that pnp as much as possible as their a flippen rip off. Pick n pull has lost its frugal splendor IMO. I'll still prob. go back for an 8.8 on half off day.

That sounds about right for a front axle, but I think the calipers you should always go new.

I got a 30 for $127 on a half price day, it did have steering but no breaks.

Seems like the PnP's in the bay area are cheeper if you go with someone that speaks spanish! :gee:

aaa si si si, burritos es muy muy bueno...mmmm taco
i may pay them a visit then.

I've since learned my lesson with used calipers, never again.
