Power Washing the Jeep undercarriage---Nashville

The Fall Flog will likely be my last run of the calendar year. I have some projects in mind for the winter months and would like to get the undercarriage of the Jeep clean before I start them.

Anyone know anywhere in the greater Nashville area that I could take the Jeep to put on a lift to be de-greased and powerwashed...either a DIY place or a place they would do it for you.

I put a right angle knozzle on my pressure washer and blast all of the crud out. I made it using a "street elbow" from the hardware. This allows you to hold the wand horizontal to the ground yet blast in a vertical pattern. Combine this with some Purple Power cleaner and a couple of cans of Gunk engine cleaner and you will be good to go and will not need to stand under a wet dripping Jeep.

I do this after each trip, my Jeep always stays clean and looks like its never been wheeled.

Put on some saftey glasses and a swim suit and climb under there.

Buy some of the engine degreaser from an auto parts store. I suggest around 4 cans of it. Soak the bottom for around 20 minutes. Rinse with hose and your done. I do it to most cars I sell and it helps a ton with making the undercarriage look better.

B52 is by far the best degreaser I've ever used.

I know o'reilly's carrys it where im at. Its got a camo label on a spray bottle or you can buy it by the gallon. It ain't cheap. Bout 12 bucks a spray bottle. But it works.

dollar store oven cleaner and a pressure washer (wear goggles)--you can't go wrong with it.

I spray everything down (while keeping it out of my eyes with the goggles) and go for a quick drive to warm everything up. Bring it home and re-spray it when hot. Wait 10 minutes and pressure wash it clean-- you'll be amazed what isn't left.
