Power loss Vs Ground Clearance

Ok other than the obvious addition of the heavier tires is there any greater risk of breakage or alignment issues that I may run into?

I ran 33s and 4.56s on the highway with my 5 speed and got right around 3k RPM at 75. And my mileage went from around 16 around town to 14 on the highway. I'd stick with the 4.10s if you have a 5 speed. Otherwise, what everyone is saying about 4.56s and the AW4 is true.

Hmmm, when I had 4.56s and 33s(with my AX15) I consistantly got 20+MPG on the highway and my speedo was corrected.

I GPS verified my actual speed versus my speedo speed and worked the numbers from there.

I have yet to see what my Jeep will do with the 35s on the highway though.

man, I'd be happy to get 16... I'm right around 14-15mpg in mixed driving (mostly highway though) with AW4, 4.56's, and 35" MT/R's. Speedo is correct.

The calculators are fine & all, but in real world use, I have found 33 and 4.56 to be a bit on the weak side(5-speed and AW4)... 31" with 4.56 (AW4) was fun, and my current rig on 30" (AW4) will get 4.56 as soon as I get some $$$ for a locker and alloy shafts.

If anything, gas mileage improved going from 33/3.55 to 4.56, and didn't drop much or any going back to 31".
agreed, i would like more gear w/33s than the 4.56s i have. my mileage is usually around 13-14 and have gotten 16-17 on the hwy. i also have some exhaust issues as well which could be contributing to this
