Here's my cargo area..

Recently finished making interior cargo rack taller. Originally it was built only high enough to fit a 31" tire underneath. Was also limiting on the size of tubs I could use. It's taller now; 33" tire will fit underneath thus allowing Jeep to fit into garage during freaking hot summer months in desert. I can finally fit the cooler underneath as well. No more need to ratchet strap cooler on top.

Rack 1.1 (Damn hard to find longer J bolt) Tie downs from Chevy S-10 or GMC Jimmy. Also found on many other GM SUVs.

Got my 31 spare in the factory spot, H/L mounted ontop of rack, and a pelican case for carrying gear, and axe asc kit mounted on side. Pelican case has pull out handle and dual wheels on base for easy moving.

What did you use to secure the axe? I was looking for something for my shovel and my axe.

How did you secure the platform?
I bolted angle it through the sides of the interior "wall" and then bolted the plywood deck to it. Any weight on top is borne by the PVC pipes. My air compressor is bolted to the hard deck as well.

Man that is a great bumper! Tell us where you got it. Inquiring minds...
Just like Mike L stated... it's a Hanson! I have their front prerunner winch bumper as well.

They look like Quick Fist One-Piece Rubber Clamps. I want to mount my shovel and axe to my hood just to be different!

I saw your jeep in JP magazine when they had a special cherokee addition! wooo Im sure im not the first one to point this out.

=X purple huh... i'll understand if your female.

Found out a long time ago that painting my bumpers my wife's favorite color gets her more interested in wheeling and allows me to spend as much as I want on my toys.

I was the guy who arranged for the editor to come to Moab for the Fall Fling and join us for a couple of days of wheeling.

Figured I'd bump and old thread to share :) Finally found a box I liked, bought it on CL for $10, mounted strips for my sockets and light to see wtf I'm doing (cargo light doesn't work).

Have you tried that out on the trail yet? Curious if those sockets will shake off on bumpy trails, pointed down like that.

They hold just fine, quick test was to slam the lid as hard as I could a half dozen times, they didn't even budge. Also it some good size speed bumps doing about 30; they still held

here's mine. Picked up a medic. box at the army surplus for $100. 10 latches, all steel, and water-proof :D

not the best looking but works great.
