hi, i'm jay g. {lit' goatman} like some of you, i won't be able to make the jv run...some of us due to work schedules..and some of us equipment short falls!! anyway, if you know for sure you won't be able to run with the BIG BOYS just yet, i'll be hosting a run on greenhorn and the black gulch/keysville runs. this will take place on sun apr. 13th. the meeting place will be at the McDonalds and former big-o tire parking lot on east 178 downtown at 9am. there are aprox. 7/8 of us so far. this trail is quite tore-up right now and will be a blast...we could possibly also hit snow!!. STOCK UNITS are not reccomended. you'll need at least a 3" lift and some upsized tires.
any questions...??

I'd suggest for you to move up the run till next weeknd befcause quite a few people will go to at least watch the JV people or ride shotgun :) THat way you might get a bigger turnout :)

Btw... where is greenhorn and the black gulch/keysville run?

P.S. Are you gonna show up to SB this weekend?

the following week-end is easter...i want all who can go to jv to go...that is the official run..this is just an option for those who can't make it. this run allows those who need to test their rigs to do so. we start right up the side of the mountain in the kern river canyon! this week-end...i'll be at pismo for a couples retreat. and a little dune running.

Oi... Hey, can you point me in the right direction for this trail? I'm going to be in JV spectating, but I work in Sunny, clean air, sweet smelling Bakersfield, and am always looking for new trails on this side of the world... (I live in Lancaster) I've done a bit of Reptile photography up in the 178 off a couple of fun fire roads/trails, but this sounds like a fun one...

Thanks

Jason

jason..the trail has three diff. approaches. we prefere the entrance right off hwy 178 in the middle of the canyon about 5 miles so. of the lake isabella dam. there's a gate entrance off the road with signage. the other entrance is keysville rd. at the lower end of the dam. the run has great views and lots of hill climbing.
