i want the loose nuts bumper
why would i buy that? thats more the dans price...
and i dont have the money at the moment...
yes, and I love it. I was really trying to decide what to do, I had my mind set on a reciever hitch and winch, after seeing how frickin low those things hang I quickly changed my mind. you are also getting a SOLID set of recover points as well as a steering box mount strengthener. I have not come across anything yet that has rubbed the backbone or winch. You will not be dissapointed! It has proven itself invaluable. I have been recovered by another jeep from a creekbed, and performed numerous self recoveries with my winch and snatchblocks. no bending,no beaking. I have also used it to mount fog lights underneath and offroad lights beside the fairlead mount.you will not be dissapointed
I would guess that if you have an adequate fan there would be no issues just from the blocked airflow. If you had cooling issues it would be from other main causes. It looks like there would be considerable cooling issues with the radiator after looking at a pic of the bumper on their website. It may not be an issue in Canada, but here in the Southwest, overheating due to inadequate airflow, is. Does anyone in the desert states run this bumper and have you have issues with cooling? I do really like the design of it, however,

If you're saying that set-up would have no effect on cooling efficiency, I disagree. Could it be overcome, yes. Would it have a detrimental effect on a marginal cooling system, of course. All I was saying was that there are better systems out there in-so-much as they don't create such a large radiator restriction IMO.
Never thought of that, I did have problems cooling early on and replaced several components including the radiator before the backbone and winch went on, so my system was tip, top. I do a lot of wheeling, traveling and towing with my rig, And live in the mountains, many steep long grades and I have had zero problems with overheating. I think if this is going on a problem free machine , it is not a factor. oh and my superwench blocks off more than my champion didAmen
x2
Thats why i sold my Protofab bumper and got the OR-Fab bumper(the winch wont block my rad!)
Here are some pics of mine. I go out alone once in a while and I like the option of putting it in the rear receiver to pull myself out of a bad situation.
Oh man, that can be taken the wrong way, very easily.
