PISMO TRIP

For the cheaper place, I had to go back to the office.
JW: since geoff is bringing ice for you next time, you can get the train passes next time.
My, bad, yeah no problem.
has anyone gone up pismo comp hill and if so what mods if any did you have
Really all you need is decent tires and momentum. I haven't dome comp in years, but when I did I never had anything special. I've gone up it in stock 2wd 'Yotas I used to own.

4.5 inch lift, 31's, 4.0, aw4, heavy right foot. that was back in 07. havent wasted my time going up it since.

So, would that be kind of like. once you go ____ , you go to ____ ? Haha!

If you have large tires and not regeared just put it in 4 low and leave it in OD. You can go around 50mph with 4.56 and 35's, so with stock gears you may even leave it in drive.

its a 1999 sport 4.5 lift 31 10.5 15 mts 60% thread from what i know stock gears i have smoked up the tires on pavement so i dont know if they are stock gears i would imagen they are

if you start to dig in on sand don't keep flooring it, you WILL bury it. also if it feels like you're driving on cotton balls instead of solid ground try to keep your momentum up till the ground feels solid again... you stop you sink. bring something to dig with in case you do get stuck, and dont go out alone cause it helps to have someone digging out the other side :gee:

Pismo is always a good time. Hopefully head out there in sept.

I was gonna say I crawled about 2nd gear up to the bottom of comp hill in 4 low and mashed on the throttle and climbed it with no issues, I have 4" lift, pro comp mt 31's with a locked rear and stock gears, glad ya had fun out there! Make sure to wash it as clean as you can, sand sucks for rust.

And grim I'm pretty happy with my 4" lift... I don't "need" more travel just better wheel placement ;)
