I think we broke almost every bolt in the disassembly of the stock parts, so there all brand new. I guess thats what we get for buying an XJ from Minnesota.

you got a C8.25 in the back not a D35 take another look. that makes me curious how that Lock Rite worked out if you thought you had a D35 :dunno:

Nope it looks like a D35 to me. There is no flat bottom plow on the botton of the housing.

Yeah its a D35.We took an 8.25 out because the D35 already had the locker and gears.

upon further review i realize im wrong and it is indeed a D35, my mistake. I think the rubber fill plug threw me off. :doh:

This one is Spencers he was at the meet and greet last year in a green 97 on 33's, him and I have been friends for around 15 years and building XJ's together for about 5. We kinda used a medley of parts the stock xj was his I had the donor xj with the lift,tires ext. He bought the parts from me and we went to town on it. Im starting on a new one this week so I'll have some pics up as I go.

I'm curious what the cost was in parts?

Just an observation, but the pinion angle on the front axle looks a little low to me. Could just be the camera angle. The front springs look like they are bowing to the back of the truck. Could create some vibes. Also the tires look awfully close to the sheetmetal on the rears of the front fenders. That is all.

Looks good though, Nice start to the build! Keep up the good work guys.

We cut the fenders since the pics were taken. It rides fine so far a little D.W. but not bad.This thing rides on the trails great.I'll take a look at those springs thanks.
