Ok, after being Jeepless for awhile, I just picked up a 1994 2 door Cherokee. 4cyl, 5 speed, cleanest damn XJ I have seen in a long long time. Few issues to tackle so I have a few questions to ask.
1) Rear seal leaks.(Was that a standard option? Did you have to pay extra for the "no leak" rear seal?) Do I have to pull the motor to replace the seal? I can do that if needed, but would rather not.
2) Has idiot light cluster, can I change it to the cluster with gauges, and if I do does it plug in or do I have to wire up tach and everything else? Or is the wiring already there, just have to plug in and go?
3) Drivers door has not broke off, but is showing some cracking on the hinge. best way to repair it? Top of door leaks a little bit, but not too bad.
4) Later plans are to swap a 6 cylinder in, what all do I have to change to do this? I plan on driving this one for quite awhile.
5) Any idea what the MPG for a 4 cyl. is average? Not sure what rear gear it has yet, gonna try to find a VIN breakdown page.
6) How many dumb questions am I allowed? :roflmao:
Thanks, glad to be back in a Jeep!!!
Pics coming soon.....
