I hope to have a new set of some kind of tire on my XJ before the Crawl this year.

No, i'm not gonna have them before WF unfortunately. I'm gonna swap my rear axle and regear the front before buying tires. I have been following the frogblog too. I want to do something about flares, because flareless sucks. Probably have my dad help me fab up some tube flares.
 
Good news!

I called 4Wheel Parts and my KM2's in the 33/1050R15's have come in. I will be getting them in the next week. I am so stoked! I've wanted a set of BFG mud terrains ever since I got into wheeling back in the late 1980's (yeah, I've been around a while).

I feel good today.

4WP roadhazard will come in handy if I ever cut one but I don't do the crazy stuff you guys like to do.

So......I'm thinking of mounting them on the original set of gold honeycomb wheels that came on my XJ. Kinda retro.

I can also mount them on a set of early aluminum 5 spokes, silver honeycombs, gray 6 spoke steel (need some paint), or steel 5 spokes that are on the XJ now. I don't have the funds for the Crager silver soft 8's like Flex has on his.

They're 38 bucks a wheel last I checked Ed. Maybe save up a little cash for them and mount them later........:D its ok, I couldn't wait either. I had them mounted like 18 hours after I got them.

I swear when I was looking they were $58.99 each. Sucks that 4WP doesn't have the silver Cragar solft 8's. All they show are black.

It looks like I'm picking them up after work today. Now to decide on a wheel.
 
Just keep in mind that those honey comb wheels probably won't fit with the WJ stuff.

If I would have known you needed wheels I coulda fixed ya up with some Black soft 8's.
 
Hey they make them both is silver! :D Mine are 15x7's. Those would be perfect for a 10.5 tire.

Your's are 15x7's? I thought they were wider than that.

I got my tires. They look good and are at least 2" taller than the 32" Buckshots currently on my XJ.
