a Petition I made to hopefully get Fiat Chrysler to redesign the new cherokees to be more like the old xjs. If you could sign it that would be excellent. They probably won't do it even if it gets lots of signatures, but its worth a shot.

Why would they go back 15 years in design?

They'd be pretty silly...

The only reason that the Wrangler still has a straight axle is to cater to the off-road crowd. They're certainly not going to cater to the off-road crowd with a second platform.

Your best bet is to just go ahead and buy a new 4 door JK.

You might be better off waiting another 15 years and then importing a Chinese XJ. Maybe a little longer; it will have to hit the 25 year threshold.

I admire your passion but that's not how the industry works
