PDX / Vanc Annual Thanksgiving Run @ TSF

Re: PDX / Vanc Annual Thanksgiving Run

As far as I know, nobody has made it when there's even the slightest bit of moisture on it.

I spotted both Pat (when he was still here) and Matt up "Mini Rubi" with no issues at all. I have not seen anyone attempt it in the snow :)

Attempting to do TSF during the rainy/snowy season in 2wd is beyond stupid!!

Rod, I would love to make a trip down there soon, unfortunatly Thanksgiving weekend isn't going to work for me.

He was jokin about the 35 part, the front is a 30 the rear is a 35. :eye:

If gas keeps dropping i might go up for the whole weekend:rtm:

well i knew that... i was just wasted when i posted that and must have not caught it..

But was the ground wet when you spotted them?

Like I said before, when the conditions are dry, Mini Rubicon is doable. Both Rod and 95heep have made it up it countless times before. However, I have yet to see someone successfully make it up unassisted when its wet out.

Between the wet clay and rocks, traction is nonexistent. Hopefully someone will prove me wrong this trip. I would love to see someone make it up under wet conditions. Heck, hopefully I'll get the chance to prove myself wrong. :shhh:

Sorry to pick on you Josh. :D

Well, I seem to remember it being wet, I thought it had rained the night before. However, I can't seem to find a thread or photos of the time that I am thinking of so I might be completely wrong.

I wonder if I am confusing more than 1 trip down there with another? NWFest 06 was dry and dusty, maybe I am confusing it with this trip?

Re: PDX / Vanc Annual Thanksgiving Run

I might be bringing a friend and using his trailer tow down and back.

I'm thinking of doing the same...invite a friend with a trailer and truck. :rof:

Just got my oregon ORV tag. If you didn't know already, you need one. $10.50 for a two year tag at G.I. Joes ticket master. I'm in for sure.

Re: PDX / Vanc Annual Thanksgiving Run

ok here comes my stupid question for the day.......... How do i get a washington ORV tag, and where do I need it?

Re: PDX / Vanc Annual Thanksgiving Run

There are no Washington ORV tags that I have ever seen. Some places (Evans Creek) require a NW forest service pass.

-Alex

I think they are more meant for atvs and such.

Re: PDX / Vanc Annual Thanksgiving Run

Just got back from GI Joes...they don't have tags!

WTH!
Jeeze bigpimpinben...you made me waste a gallon of gas. :(
