Invoking the wisdom of the board here....
One of our MJ brethren needs an AX15 to complete a 4WD conversion, but lives in Hawaii. Anyone know any reasonable methods of getting one from here to there?
TIA,
Jeff

If you put it in a really big bottle and hit the right currents, it might just wash up on Waikiki beach. YMMV.

Any freight company should be able to do it. Your local Yellow Pages will probably list a few.

BTW.. I apologize for the non-helpful responses above,

Yeah, but then I gotta find a big enough cork :pirate1:

UPS....for real as long as it is under their max weight. They also raised it recently. I used to send stuff to my daughter when she was in Pohnpei, Micronesia. I could send it via the post office in two days. It took two days to get to Hawaii and a couple of more to get to her. Since it was guarenteed delivery we would get our money back. We did that for 8 months before they got wise and changed their policy!

No need to apologize for me, Glenn. I know Jeff from the Yahoo MJ group and I would imagine that he has no problem with my playful response. Right Jeff?

Boat, outta a WC port. too big for UPS. probably take 2 weeks to get there.

Pay for round trip tickets and I'll take it :D

Aloha,
I'm the guy Jeff is trying to help out. How bout I send you a one way ticket and you bring the tranny over then we try to find a bottle big enough for you to go back in!

JK! Shipping it by boat would work but I have no way of getting dropped off or palleted to make the trip. Most salvage yards I called said I would need to make arrangements on my own.
I've shipped plenty of things UPS/FedEx even USPS, I even shipp ammo by boat but the companies I buy from are willing to help me by charging for boxing and drop off.

I'll give those companies a call.
Thanks,
