"Parting Party" 98 XJ

i don't know the brand, but it did appear to have the JB/ AA style shaft in it, not a hack n tap.

for those interested in pricing for the motor/trans/tcase which was just removed heres what i have in mind:

engine, around 150k miles, had slight knock in it, didn't sound exactly like from the engine but maybe one of the accessories, ran great but because of the knock $200

trans, around 150k miles, no known issues, ran with trans cooler. $150

tcase, 231, same mileage no known problems, AA/JB style sye $250

or i can do a package deal and if you take everything $500
 
is the rear axle a 8.25? how much do you guys want for it if it's still available?

Ok Tcase sounds good, hope the bezel is still available since I'm changing from a 242. I'll pm ya my number, I could p/u tomorrow.

Hey Matt,

I think Jason is going to want the SYE as his current 231 doesn't have one and he was just going to swap out the two cases and then offer for sale the 231 in his current XJ. Best to check with him. His e-mail is in the group list and he usually responds quickly.

Also, Murrie needs to decide if he's taking the CAT or we need to unload it to the guy who wants it. Set a price for Murrie to respond to so we can be finished with it, either he takes it or we let it go.

I'm back in town now so you can set up times to remove and sell parts, we'll also have this Thursday.

well this is news to me

the t case wasn't on the list, so i assumed it was sell-able :dunno: time to double check with jason

and last i heard Murrie declined on the CAT, so it is getting sold to Mike_L

Matt,

What I think happen was that someone explained the SYE to him and he decided to keep it, then the converstion went to just exchanging out the T-Case at the same time.

Exhaust- everything cat-back sold
alternator brackets sold


still have the motor and trans. package deal $300 for both

should be removing the axles soon, which means suspension parts will be up for grabs.

4-5" unknown brand lift coils- $60
HD LCAs w/bends in them for clearance, unknown length and condition of bushings at this time but i would guess 16-16.5" in length- $40
tereflex front lift spacers, i think they're the .75" models but haven't measured yet- $20
4-5" rear lift springs of unknown brand, not AAL- $200
rear lift shackles, either 1" or 2" lift, will measure to be sure- $40

i also have the seats out and ready to go, front drivers side one has a rip on the side, but otherwise in good condition, Fred if you could get a pic that would be great!- $80 for the front pair
rear seat back and bottom portion- $20
color is grey

EDIT: i also have the alternator ready to go- $20

Thanks, it was nice getting the t-case,
I'll take the Terraflex coil spacers if they are small .75-1" and the bezel..

Mike, Murrie wants the bottom portion of the rear seat as it matches the one Sam lost when it was his XJ. For now he has been using mine which doesn't match the pattern of his seats.

Any other pics needed?

thanks for the pics Fred! if you could get a pic and measurement of the rear shackles that would be awesome.

alright so it appears the spacers are more than an inch tall but not quite 1 1/2".....still want them charles?

so the bottom portion of the rear seat is taken.... i see rear seats offered up for free occasionally so i'll just let the back portion go to whoever wants it.
