What are the laws for parking on public roads? I need to move my jeep out for a month or two and there's a road near my house that semi's use for parking.
I'm assuming I'd have to move it around during that time. I tried looking through the RCW's but I didn't see anything.

I'm not for sure about in Wa but I know Or you are able to as long as the tags are good. Like you stated as well would have to move it around from time to time but other then that I would think you would be ok. I would be more worried about someone stealing it then the city or cops messing with it.

I would be more worried about someone stealing it

Oh you've been to Everett? :D
I don't have tags I have the temp plate stuff though. I was thinking about leaving a copy in a ziplock baggy and zip tie it to the plate hanger.

I have a coupler lock and I ordered a chock block/lock Now I just need lug nut locks to make that secure(ish) lol.

lol yeah sad days now when we have to go to the steps we have to go to for keeping our things safe. Not to sure I would zip tie the temp out there though someone will take that so they don't have to go get one for their ride lol. Everything is wanted by someone.

I don't want a ticket either though =/ that's why I was going to scan it take out any PII and print it out.

Yeah it's pretty sad that nothing is safe... it would be nice if I didn't have to spend more money just to secure the things I worked for.

know anyone that will store it at their home or property for ya, till you can put it back in the garage?

I don't know many people up here. Storage is around 75$ a month and they have contracts.

The jeep is probably only going to be out there for a little while but I need to find a more permanent location for the trailer.

Contract? So they won't let you rent one for only a month or are you saying they won't let you work on your rig in it?

check with public storage, alot of times they will rent out parking spots on the end of the buildings and between them. There were a lot of boats and larger trucks at the last one I rented. Shouldn't cost too much since it's not in a climate controlled building. Or you could see if any parking garages will rent you a parking spot for a monthly fee.

It's to bad you are so far north I got room here I would let you park it in for awhile. I know that really don't help ya but they say it's the thought that counts lol

I might have a parking spot for ya...

Hmm weird I swear I posted.

I'm going to try working something out today. If not I'll shoot you a pm Scott, thanks.

Thanks for the thought big dog :)

I'll give NW wheelers a shot if nothing works out.

I don't know of the specific rules/laws. They change from state to state, city to city, etc.

I do know this. Most parking spots on the street are NO overnight parking or you will get towed. Most residential city street parking is based on the home that you are parked in front of (if you park in front of a home and they report a car parked over night then they can have it towed through the city within a period of time about 24-48 hours in my past experience). Again, just some of my past experience.

You could try Leifers RV storage in Marysville if you want cheaper storage for a short period of time.

Ok so I got an abandon vehicle notice on it today. If someone can let me park around Everett I can give you 20$ a month. I'm losing my job so I'll probably be gone in 2/3 months.

There's no Jeep on it I managed to squeeze her into the garage.

just the trailer.
