Im running a 3.5 - 4" with 30s right now, and hopefully later this year im going to 6.5" with 32s or 33s with stock fenders and no trimming... Ill be getting my xj inspected before the lift, but for next year and such, would there be a possibility that i would encounter any problems by stations or even the 5O

No restrictions on lift, it's all measured by bumper height. Do a seach on www.bmja.org for this, they have the pertient Motovehicles laws on there.
It's either 31 or 33" from the bottom of the bumper as I remember..
However they are anal about tires sticking out past the flares...

no lift law but u should be ok i had 3 inches of lift and 33's with no trimming and the po never said a word to me but be sure your tires have flares u wil get nailed for that but u probly have to go pretty high to move a bumper like over a foot

right from the PA code-

vehicle no taller than 13’ 6” (loaded or not), 5000lb or less front bumper at 24”, rear at 26”, 5001lb to 7000lb 27” and 29”, 7001lb to 9000lb 28” and 30”, 9001lb to 11000lb 30” at both ends, if bumper height has been altered front and rear measurements taken at the bottom edge of the foremost portion of the frame rails or at the original mounting brackets, whichever is lower

as mentioned, tires have to covered by flares and the flares canot be altered from the factory, the tires may not rub any part of the suspension, and no one gives a hoot about any of that but the tires being covered, so do what you want.

wrong,, flare's cannot exceed 3" wide in any way shape or form UNLESS they were larger than that from the factory,,, and we all know rubi flare's are the only one's that big.

...unless you have mud flaps, or are able to proove that it is required for your job, or your health. or if you own a farm....
