Stores around me have already started to put out christmas displays. First it was putting that stuff out around turkey day, then it was halloween, now it's starting whenever stores feel like it. And all because the store manager wanted to get a jump on Wal-mart in the christmas sales department.

More signs that the economy is really taking a beating and there is a real fear of not making decent sales for the holiday season.

I quit caring when they put stuff out at stores. 99.9% of all my shopping is done on the internet! I almost bet internet sales will be up this year.

WOW love that train of thought - I wonder why this country will never change for the better.

Why vote 3rd party - because I will vote for the person I think most qualified for the job. They may not get elected but as more and more voters go 3rd party it will at least make the Dems and Reps look at why they lost those votes.

Also the same could be said in a heavily democratic or republican region - if you're not in the majority why bother voting. For instance I live in a majority Democratic city so if I vote republican or 3rd party then my vote does not matter either way, so in your line of thinking I should only vote Dem since any other vote is wasted.
