Put the 4 top bolts back in on the top before you spin it, otherwise you might might upset some stuff in there.

Ohh and you spin from where the steering wheel attaches.

So all of a sudden. My dad stormed into the garage and said that I needed to stop because it was ridiculous. I guess he saw all the little tiny parts and peices and said it wasn't worth it. So after all that I am on my way to straight line steering in San Jose to pick up a new steering box. I don't want to spend the extra money but I have to. Sorry for the abrupt ending but parents are parents

Dang!! Hey iv been in that same situation too. Still try and rebuild it though, even if you use the old seals. When your done twist the input shaft lock to lock a bunch then shake the box, if it doesnt sound like the balls are loose then you did it correctly!!

Here it is

Ok so I put the new box back in and there is zero play in the steering column, which is great. My only issue now is there is play somewhere else in the steering. I will have a look tomorrow for any play in the tie rod or other bushings etc.

I'll take some pics tomorrow of the steering tomorrow and you guys can point out what u see. The hose that goes from the air box to the valve cover is old and destroyed. Do you guys know where I can pick one up?

Ok so this is what it looks like right now. I noticed there is a bit of movement in the passenger side ball joint on the drag link. But I'm not sure completely. It'snot something I need to right now because the movement is minimal so I'll move on to other things. I just need to find some motivation, and money.
