I have been waiting for about 2 weeks for mine to arrive. Just wondering if anyone has any advice on the install? It states a Steering brace? I know from reading that those bolts can be a pain in the arce to remove?

That is the name of it, they call them rock slider bumpers.

Got the bumper in yesterday, and will be doing the install this weekend. Anyone in the Springs area wanna stop by and offer there .02 and help hold this f-er up while I bolt it on is welcome.

INSTALLED OR FAB Rock Slider Bumper (how to do pics?)

Well it is Installed. It was not to bad.

The directions are a little confusing since it has both the older pre 96 and new 97+ directions, it could be a little more layed out.

The steering box bolts where a byatch to get in.
Everything else just kinda fell into place.

Anyone know how to post pics? I have some to post?

LOL, Lift is coming (it does look kinda funny). Heading to the great northwest in June so lift will be added once the drive is complete.

Well you look like you went about it ok. Do skids and bumpers and then the lift. thats not a bad way to go about it thats for sure.

Funny, this is my 2nd time around with an XJ. 1st time got the wheels and tires before the lift and then I had to purchase another lift to fit the tires.

No, the funny thing was I tried to do just a little bit of trimming to make them fit. Note I said little.

Nothing spray foam and a set of yj flares could barely cover up. Goal accomplished, the tires TUCKED.
