Operation Overcompensation

OK..haven't completed the air tank yet but I started another project.

It's a 3.8 and I am hoping to have it all in by the weekend. I placed it up there today so I could mark where I need to cut the floor to clock it almost flat.

I got my hands on some crazy LCAs and I should have these on this weekend :D
These are heat treated chromoly tubes. Theoretically, this should be the last LCAs I should ever buy.

So, Avery, are you selling your 231? Hit me backchannel if you do.

What's with the gay arrow?

It was a recycled pic to show where my folded exhaust pipe was.

Yeah I sold it.

You wouldn't be able to afford Avery prices anyway.

You know he gets like $10,472 for 8.8's, right?

I get a fair price for good products ;)

Plus I really enjoy selling my parts to people who would actually use them. :D

Atlas in ? Allready for this weekend ?

Yup the Atlas is in but I still have a bunch of small $hit to do before I go..

Weekend was long and a was full with plenty of work to do.

Yanked the carpet. Suprisingly it is in pretty good condition with minimal stains.

And under the carpet I had a nice surprise..........

Then I started to cut and cut I did!

And now the Atlas sits at a nice clocked angle. I used a 3/4" spacer provided by Advanced Adapters. Damn that thing is heavy with fluid. And those shifters suck donkey balls.

FileHandler.ashx

Look! No TC :D

That was all done on Saturday. I woke up early and drove down to Troy's place (Steagall9301) and Troy performed magic on my junk. First he welded on new perches on my frame rails so I could install my new sexy LCAs.

Then he played a little with some sheet metal......

And he made a nice elevated floor to cover the Atlas.

All in all it was a great Sunday.

Tonight I yanked my crunched exhaust and subsequently finally found the crack in my header that I knew I had all this time.

Replaced the tube. Now all I need to do tomorrow to finish it is weld up this spot after I connect it and I should be good.

As far as next weekend, I have a bunch of small $hit that needs to be done. I need to finish the shifters (and those damn e-clips), sweep out the inside, put the seats in, put the center console back in and hook up all my ARB switches again, get a new front drive line and install it (and make sure it does not hit the floor since it was clocked), drain and fill the Atlas with new fluid, wash the windows, install the seat belts, remove the rear seat, and I know there are a couple of other things I am forgetting.

I'm bookmarking this post. When you go to sell your used carpet for $125 this winter, I'm bringing it back up. :)
