hello all!! i just finished installing my lift.. 2.5" ome.an i have to say that im a little bit dissapointed...i had measured it an it barely gave an inch plus its a little bit lower in the front.. is this possible or did i just get the wrong stuff?? :tears:

how about some details about what exactly you got. do you have aftermarket bumpers? a winch?

part numbers for the springs...?

it will take a bit for the lift to level out....

i have no aftermarket bumpers or any other extra weight!! the part number for the coil springs is OME930 i have to check for the leafs..

the 930s are pretty soft - I think they only gave me about an inch of lift too. I'm gonna be going with 934s or maybe a different brand. they ride and flex great, but you're right, dont exactly give the advertised lift.

the OME kits are usually sold a a supsension system not so much a suspension lift. It usually says you can possibly get some lift

ok..i want to put on 265/75/16 BFG AT's or 265/70/16 bridgestone at's and i dont want the tires to look as if they are stuffed in the wheel arches..so i plan on adding coil spacer and probably a 1 inch block..now i know that you guys are against blocks but will a 1 inch block actually wear out the leafs?

X2. OME leafs are really soft. A block would probably give you all sorts of twist issues. FWIW my CS034RB springs, that I installed last August, are still netting 2.5", and they were only advertised to give 2".

And to answer post#5: Yes. They are listed as 1.5" ZJ lift springs, so they should give 2.5-3.0" over stock on an XJ.

Where did you get your OME kit at?

I ordered the HD OME system and I have 3" of lift front and back using 2 extra OEM coil isolators as spacers. The more gear you put in it, the better it rides.

ok i decided im gonna go with 1.5 tnt boomerang shackles! thanks for the tip btw! and if it sits higher in the back ive got plenty of coil spacers so i think its gonna be ok! ! i have a question though! will my shocks be ok if i add the 1.5" shackle? also will the shackle hit the tailpipe?

Makes me wonder if you had the "Up Country" package before hand.

What's the measurement from the center of the hub to the bottom of your flares now?

My OME kits from Jeepinoutfitters sit 20" in the rear loaded up and 20" in the front w/o the front spacer that was supplied with the kit.

I've seen the OME kit listed as 2", 2.5", and 3" is it just that different companies list it differently? This is a lift that I've been considering getting but have heard that they sit lower than advertised and it seems like there are some variations. I don't mean to hijack but is the RE 3.5" a better option even if i don't intend to wheel really, just trails? (I just want it to look more like a Jeep and not so much a stationwagon)

i didnt get it off the internet, theres a shop here! its a great kit and the ride quality is great but i wish it was a litttle taller! anyway that it going to be fixed when i get the shackles!

20" ? can you please tell me the part number if the coils , leafs you used? thanks!

can someone tell me if im gonna have a problem with the shackle hitting the tail pipe and about the length of my shocks??
