OK, What's it gonna take?

Ok, so i have the 5.5" RE XDLA lift kit on the way. It already shipped, so no changing it now, not that I'd want to. But i got a line on some 35/1250/r15 Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ's that are so new they stil have the blue chalk on em. $650 for 4 of em. So, what's it gonna take to get em to fit and work on my 95 XJ w/ 5.5" of lift? Already planning on doing rustys cut away flares. Will that be enough? TIA

yea should i have herd of people putting 35" on 4.5" of lift with alot of trimming but idk for sure good luck with it if it dont, get spacers front and blocks in the rear that will give the clerance you need for sure

I have 35s with RE 5.5 SA lift. They rubbed until I cut the fenders and still bump every once in awhile when I wheel. If you running stock wheels they might rub the control arms. I don't know if LA kit fixes that prob. Mine rub on the SA. Flares should help. But you might have to get some bump stops.

Trim the fenders some, get good bump stops in there, and get some aftermarket wheels to keep the tires off of the control arms.

I would get extensions and lower bump stops. You really need the combination of both. Companies like DayStar sell upper extensions. Look here for the lowers.

With the amount of trimming possible w/ those Rusty's flare you should be ok. I know Rusty's sell bumpstops too.

nevermind, those tires weren't nearly so new as he made em sound. not to mention the guy was a complete a$$h*l&. Said his price was higher than advertised, and was unwilling to budge when ad said OBO. I bought some 33" MTR's today. Now I'll have plenty of room to move em.
