offroad camping trailer build!!

i found a cool bbq set up that is ment for a boat but it hangs off an angle ledge.. my mom has it for her pontoon boat and she has never used it so it might find its way on to my trailer lol.. i'm also putting an all-weather 12v accessory plug on the rear set up of the jeep so i will have available 12 volt source for those much needed blenders and such lol

the bbq setup sounds cool but come on a blender? lol might as well say screw the bbq and bring the george forman =) i wouldnt mind a converter box but 100 bucks for a big watt one seems unrealistic. when ya going camping with it? we should have a small meet and greet or something =) somewhere somewhat in the in the middle like gorman.

i already have the inverter.. as a matter of fact i have a few lol the bbq is a great idea i just gotta figure out a nice set-up on a budget lol this is what my mom has but its 200

as soon as i get the lid finished and all my gear out of storage and loaded in the trailer i will be taking it out .. maybe big bear area just due to the heat and the mountains will be cooler....

as for the blender... hey you never know lol... but the 12v plug on the outside of the jeep is a cool deal i think... there are so many 12v items u can get these days

cool cool. maybe we can plan some kind of wheeling trip to calico or jawbone canyon. get some of the guys to go. your trailer should be done and well broke in by then. and i havent got to run calico yet. im kind of interested in trying it out.

honestly i love the roadmaster brand.. u can get them at the truckstops.. i was an overtheroad trucker for the last 2 years and they are tried and true let me tell u... i've had coleman ones and others but none lasted as long or work as well... i ran a 15" t.v. off a 450 volt inverter from road master and she worked great...

Actually.. A leaf spring without a shackle can't flex, at all.. The spring get's longer as it's compressed, shorter as it drops. No shackle, no move, be it one leaf or a pack from a dumptruck.

Edit: Ignore me, I missed a few pages...

Looks cool though, love the diamond plate.

91blackbox, so im tryin to decide on a 800-1100w inverter. my girl wants something to run her blow dryer (1875w) the 1100 peaks at 2200(but for how long?) she wants it for her girl stuff. im thinking 800-900 watt generator from harbor freight for 129 im just not wanting to drain my battery on my jeep if she decides to run her hair dryer w/o the jeep running for 10 minutes ya know?

when looking for an inverter u need to get ur operating watts as close as what ur needing and not worry so much about the peak.. if ur operating at peak alot ur gonna drain the battery faster and burn the unit out faster.. so look at what u need and then get more ... so if u need 1875 then u need 2000 .. and thats a big inverter.. i have a big one like that but it has to be wired directly to the battery

yeah i understand that. kinda like subwoofers, running it at its continuious power vs peak power. its retarded, her straightner is 40 watts but her blow dryer is almost 2000... i think i'll get something in the 800w-1000w range and call it a day. she can use a towel and air dry it lol

so today i do yard work then go get the trailer out on the road for the light and travel test...

ok picked up a bbq for the trailer.. gonna make a mount so it hangs off the trailer ... now to decide if i should mount a stubby tank in the trailer or just have it so i can put a bottle out on the ground and call it a day

yanno i was reading last night and i dont think i fully understood all that sine wave BS. and seems like alot of these inverters/generator had "dirty power" so i dont really want to ruin my tv or whatever cause im running dirty power.
