OFFICIAL BS THREAD(all others will be deleted)

It's still really good, just not as good as I remember it 10 years ago, which is probably about the last time I went. Maybe I went a couple times in college but I don't remember specifically.

Went to the beach yesterday, took the new truck

29mpg

ive never been particularly brand loyal as indicated by owning 4 different makes currently. i think the jeep marks my 30th automobile since 97. i own multiples at the same time (obviously) since probably 2001-2002 area. never had a NEW car though. been thinking about trying it when im ready to retire the lexus.

I have my 99 XJ and an 06 KLR 650. My wife drives a Lexus ES330.

01 XJ
16 GMC Canyon diesel

My first two cars were brand new. Never again. 85 Franken-Jeep Cherokee Pioneer with an SD-22 4-banger 2WD diesel from a Nissan 1981, 720 pick up truck. 87 wagoneer-jeep, 4x4, w/280,000 miles. 89, 2WD, and an 89 4WD that is geting a new fuel pump, and an 87 body (for sale, no engine or transmission, perfect dent free rust free body). 2001 Saturn SL1, 277,000 miles, and a ford Taurus 96 that is for sale.

Only had 5 other vehicles between 1973 and now. New Ford Pinto, New Dodge Charger lean burn 400-4 barrel (it was one bad ass car, but had a POS transmission), Used Dodge SW-full sized 78, I put over 400,000 miles on that beast, Used Ford 91 Tempo (body was coming apart at the front suspension areas, cracks-Ford junk, sold it) and a 1973 Ford LTD that I bought in 1996 with 24,000 miles on it, and a 281 Cleveland V-8 that was not even broken in yet. Got it for $600. Sold it 2007 for $500.

i like miatas! a friend of mine has a 99 that used to be supercharged with a built 4cyl making 230wheel horsepower. at 2100lbs that thing was a rocket! from 0-90ish it kept up with my 440hp GTO but its geared so short. 4.30 rear gears with a 23in tire. thing was topped out at 125-130. he roadraced it a bunch. decided he wanted to make real power. so an aluminum 5.3 and t56 were bought and overhauled. that was like 4 years ago. car has been apart since. he ran into some life issues and had to back burner it.

I've thought about picking up a miata as a toy.

Because you know, I need more toys that I don't have time to use or money to work on.

At least you have a garage to keep them in and work on them
