I am celebrating my 61 st Birthday this coming Saturday, July 21st, this time at the pool near NASA (across the street), at my sons apartment complex, great food, drinks, and good times if any of you Naxja Jeep freaks want to come out of hiding and meet up for a while this Saturday. Plan is to start about 2 pm, then around 9 pm to midnight we will go see the new Star Trek movie on my birthday July 21st!!!!! Awesome having that new movie come out on my BD!!!! This is also the 50 year anniversary of Star Trek, that first aired in August 1966, 3 years before we landed on the moon!!!!

We tried to meet at Galveston beach at my BD last year and everyone but me was a no show from Naxja. This year I hear there are flesh eating bacteria loose at the beaches, so we are going to stick with a safe pool LOL.

At my civilian job yesterday my "position is being dissolved." So I ask my boss when that is effective, as in immediately, tomorrow, end of week etc and he says he doesn't know. So then I get a text from him at 8pm that it is immediately and that I can turn my phone and keys in tomorrow.

We'll see how long they stay in business. Yesterday I was calling vendors to check on PO's and three had overdue invoices for us ... or them now.

I was brought into a really bad situation and am not upset to be gone. They also were not a military friendly company. Luckily my reserve unit is taking care of me and hunting season is coming up. If anyone wants to shoot birds near Katy hit me up. I'm also very tight with spending and have quite a bit of savings compared to most 28 year old college grads.

I went to TexTaco the other day. It is not what it used to be. I also went to the place in the gas station parking lot. I don't remember what it was called but it was better. I'm talking about the trailer taco shop, not the school bus chicken place.
