OFFICIAL BS THREAD(all others will be deleted)

We have a better one, but it's way less convenient to get in and out, so the cheap junky one usually goes with us. It's not like the boy ever wants to ride in it anyway.

I have a 10th month old and she never wants to ride in hers either, on my shoulders apperently is the best spot on the planet for her, that an streching my ears out just a little bit more each time, those are her handles

Well, I did it, had to sell the Cherokee to fund a down payment on 09 Silverado that can make the long drives to and from work reliably. Missing it already, now I don't have a hunting camping rig anymore. Will have to buy another one.

Saw an early 90's model on craigslist for $900 yesterday.....

It's almost always cheaper to fix what you've got compared to $400+ a month for payments over the next 3-5 years.

I just couldn't afford to have it break down anymore, even more so I couldn't afford to lose my job because the jeep wasn't up and running at the moment. Trust me, this is my first financed vehicle, everything else including a 06 Charger RT have been cash cars.

I had a long quiet ride to work. Some lowlife jacked my stereo, I feel violated. Time for a hot glue gun, razor blades, fish hooks, and a new head unit.

I forgot how hard 5spd 4x4s are to find

Anyone think I may be taking the obsession a little too far?

I had a crappy day. I've been wanting to buy a suppressor for the last couple of years and things just haven't worked out. Now I've got everything lined out, know what I want, etc. and when I finally get to talk to the dealer tells me that there is a 6 month backorder on the one I want, and a 3 month backorder on my second choice. :flamemad: Seriously? You're telling me I'm gonna have to wait 3-6 months just to start the paperwork, and then have to wait probably another 6 months for the ATF to approve it?

Anyway, right now I'm emailing every dealer listed on the mfg's website to see if anyone has one in stock and verify what the local dealer told me. If the local guy was blowing smoke about the backorder, I'll be spending money elsewhere. I'm not doing the legwork of finding one and then paying him $75 to make an entry in his bound book and sign a couple of forms.

On the bright side, I got some pistol parts in today.

That sucks dude. Do you have an NFA trust?

Oh...cool toys Tony. Gotta fix that hanging nerf bar though.

Yes, I've set up a trust. That was the only way that my wife could legally have access to it if I'm not around. Also makes things a lot easier when we kick the bucket.

I've been trading emails with a dealer in North Dakota. Looks like he might be able to get one. Guess I need to get in touch with my dealer/NFA manufacturer friend in Rockwall. Need to pick up some receivers he engraved for me anyway.

I'm about to form a trust myself here soon, which suppressor you looking at getting? Also, from the last I've heard from the ATF, wait times are down to the 5 month mark, and e-filing is in the beta stages right now, so should be online here at the end of the year, which should decrease wait times.

I've been talking with the guy.. its built weird. Dodge truck axles. 270k on the body, 13k on the engine, he did the rebuild (he's a mechanic for Dodge) but he needs it gone and doesnt want to just fix the gasket himself

And no pics in the ad. I usually do not even look if no pics in the ad. Description is vague and as mentioned jeep sounds shady and so does his deal.

He sent me pics

Better than the guy in San Marcos with no pics who told me he wasn't gonna take any and if I was interested I could come look. Yeah buddy, good luck with the sale
