OFFICIAL BS THREAD(all others will be deleted)

Towed with the Burban for the first time this weekend. Got 13.6 miles per gallon average. Better than 10 MPG. Would like to see better, but for now, I'm pretty happy.

What year/engine is your 'burb? I'm assuming its a 3/4 ton? I have a company truck, '95 6.5td Suburban, that I thought about towing with if I can ever make it to an event. Was curious what the mpgs were. Fully loaded for a gun show it'll get around the 18mpg mark on the highway. Doubt it'll get close to that towing, but still cheaper than having a tow truck take ya back home 4 hours away.

Naw, it's only a 1500. 2011 4x4 Suburban with the 5.3 Vortec.

I quoted myself for the irony that I did end up towing my jeep home last week, and it acutally wasn't bad. Drove with no overdrive since it didn't like the hills much, but other than that it did ok I guess. Used about 7 gallons on the 62 miles return trip, but the first half of it was thick stop and go traffic. Anyways, long story short, would rather drive a 7.3 Powerstroke....or a Duece'n'half.
