Hey guys, I just installed an apn header and in the process I noticed the stocky pipe has a large dent in it. It's big enough to cause a flow restriction so I was wondering if anyone makes a catless y pipe (my cat is mia) and exhaust?

That large dent is most likely the factory one thats done to clear the axle. I'm assuming you have a newer XJ since it has the pre-cats. The issue your going to have is that the O2 sensors in the pipe monitor the converters and if you remove them it will set codes which may cause it to fail inspection not to mention that its against federal law to eliminate emission control devices.

Since you have a 96, this will work for you. Do you have a lift?

If 3" or so you can have a muffler shop make you a new downpipe without the "crush" and route it just like stock. If you have no lift, the muffler shop can make you one that routes a little differently and will still clear the front driveshaft. You will feel the difference. Guaranteed.

I just had my entire exhaust redone....after years of doing this and welding that, I wanted a whole system that was one piece...so I had a shop bend up a new downpipe all the way back and I love it...sounds good, feels good, plus I added a CAI with heat shield.

Local shop.. mandrel bent pipe ftw.
