Odd request...

I'm looking for someone within a fairly easy drive of San Jose, who has an old 4.0 and/or 4.2 cylinder head, that is beyond use. I'd like to get a sample of each to run thru a bandsaw for research, so I really don't care what condition it's in as long as the casting is basically entire. Cracks, warpage, and such are no trouble for me - like I said, I'm going to chop it up anyhow!

a worthy exercise. I almost did this with my SBC head when I ground into the water jacket (ended up fixing it with QuikSteel). I'll keep an eye out.

Post pics when you do this. I want to see how much I can clean up when porting the stroker that I need to build.

I ported and ported and ported some more. Lots of meat.

My big ports only bring me to about the same flow rate as a bone stock OEM head.

Of course, the new motor still pulls like an SBC....maybe better.
