I went through what you did in a way but the starter switch was ok - it was my starter! Also I've got a slow drip under my tranny - about 1/2 qt per tank of gas, she starts to slip when the level's low. Not good for my tranny I know - time to get the rear trans seal fixed (not the rear main seal but the rear trans seal)...
