Occupy Wall Street

this country is XXXXed, people like oldman take any critisizm of the system as a personal attack, as if we're critisizing them cause theyre succesfull.

we're critisizing a system that's PWNT by corporations that dont pay shit for taxes, and trick idiots into thinking THEYRE the rich people under attack... corporations whipe their ass's with your life savings old man, nobody's coming for your fish sticks.

shits so painfull... we're going down, no XXXXng doubt about it, romes burning.

Even that won't wake him up.

They are printing ungodly amounts of money...

and it's screwing us all.

Reminds me of the Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, when they used leafs as currency then everyone was filthy rich. They don't the only reasonable thing, burn down the forests to limit the supply of currency.

OK, so your dense then. nobody is saying we are against the idea of banks, what do you want us to do with checks? look into stuff before you talk shit. this aint the tea party, theres a bunch of plainly written (even someone as dense as you could read it, probably) demands... read them before you spew stupid bullshit.

i find it HILARIOUSLY HYPOCRITICAL that many people who supported the tea party.... who rode on bus' paid for by powers that be.... somehow look down on the occupy wall street crowd... you guys are a XXXXing joke.

tea party, occupy wall street, or whatever crowd, will allways have certain people that arent that brite, or maybe cant act a lawyer for their cause as good as others.... but the tea party is only 500% more embarassing. many cant even spell america.

if your down with the tea party, but not this... it shows 100%, that youve been pwnt by the mainstream media.. its unexcusable.

XXXXing embarassing you guys are... like agents in the matrix...

yup. i can agree with you in politics for once. i'm no liberal, but the basic idea of OWS makes sense to me, and i can agree with it. the upper middle class kids who are lazy asshats without jobs marching here can shove it, but there ARE people who have been legitimately effed by whats going on in wall street, kids who are TRYING to get jobs and cant, and STFU when you say pick up a hammer, you can barely survive over here in and around nyc... if you have a college degree you simply wont get a job working at mcdonald's flipping burgers bc you're overqualified and have more education than the store manager, so they'll pay some illegal $6.50 an hour instead. and good luck trying to swing a hammer or cut a lawn, get behind the 2-300 immigrants at home depot who will work twice as hard for half as much.

its not about being liberal... 'conservative' people should be OUTRAGED... you dont have to be a liberal to not like being ripped off while others get record bonus's for causing an economic crisis.

you dont have to be anti-corporations, im not saying abolish home depot or exxon mobile, what im saying is, the profit they make everyday here in america, is because of OUR country, OUR roads, OUR ports.... they profit because of our infrastructure, why let them rip us off? what makes them so special if they actively spend money trying to XXXX us over even more?

what about oil companies that get oil from american land, sell it overseas, and not pay a dime for it, THEN get super low tax rates to top it off? your down with them exploiting you and the resources you and i pay for every single paycheck?

corporations arent all evil, but theyre all greedy, and they'll all personally shit on americans (or anyone), to make an extra million bucks. when a petrol company actively says 'nah, im not gonna fix that pipeline, it'll totally cost a million bucks', then watches the pipeline fail anyway.... you cant tell me corporations are nice people, theyre money sucking vampires, designed to do one thing, make money.

the governments job is to run shit... its the EPA's job to be the cop who doesnt let corporations dump cancer causing chemicals into our water supply... people like ron paul say the mining companies wont dump because the market wont allow it? LO-XXXXING-L. if you beleive this... im sorry, your retarded. it doesnt work.

we have plenty of cops to make sure i dont walk into a 7-11 and steal candy bars, why do we allow our corporations to steal MIL
government.

THIS times a million.

i mean sure you can argue a lassez-faire economy and people will always bitch and scream socialism, but this stuff has gotten way out of hand

have you checked recently? We don't. We have 'loss prevention' that will watch them walk out of the store with the stuff and write it down then contact police because they don't want to accidentally hurt some special snowflake and get sued about it. And the cops won't do much about it because they have more problems to deal with than a bunch of good for nothing shoplifters.

You can walk out of almost any store you want to, with whatever you want to. In most cases they won't do anything except watch or try to talk you into stopping.

Our legal system is ridiculous these days.

I am just going to throw this out there, it is not an attack or anything of the kind.

You may want to start using proper punctuation and capitalization when posting. It just takes away from whatever you may be trying to say when it looks like a teenage girl typed it on a phone.

Again, not an attack and I am in noway putting myself above anyone but I am just pointing it out.

Depends...when I worked at a large electronics chain, our LP guy tackled a tweeker trying to steal a laptop. He received help from two managers and an off duty cop. Mind you, later on at a sporting goods store, as a manager trainee, I was instructed to passively stop people, ie block the doorway, but don't actually physically stop anyone. As a result I watched a guy run out of the store with new shoes on his feet and a hoody on his back because when I tried to notify the store manager, the kid made a break for it. I could've stopped him, if allowed, he was fairly small, and I was in better shape then...

I'm waiting for OWS to come out with an actual message. Last I heard it was fairly unorganized. But I don't pay attention to the news much anymore.

XCM, I don't know why you're singling old man out. He didn't say anything regarding suppporting the corps. He said he doesn't want to give away his hard earned money to someone who hasn't worked for it.

Doubt you'll find any definitive message on the "news"......I went to their supporters websites and came up with a list of OWS goals and objectives. http://www.naxja.org/forum/showpost.php?p=245463983&postcount=358

Some of them seem spot on to what the country needs, others are calling for the fundamental transformation of America's capitalism-based economy and replacing it with _______________.

By keeping a job, not expecting others to support me, I have gotten to where I make good money.

I read this as your employer supported you. If it wasn't for that employer you wouldn't have any money either. Had that employer decided to up and outsorce your job, well you wouldn't have any money either.

I am not against people having money, or corporations making money. I am against greed. These investment firms were salvaged through a bailout that we supported with our tax dollars and then through outsourcing have thumb their noses at the american public.

My take.

If they really want to prove a point, they should all close their bank accounts.

Especially if they have any money in Bank of America. Getting folks hooked on debit cards and then imposing a fee. Screw that, I won't even give BofA the satisfaction of the $3 ATM fee. I now carry and pay cash instead of the checking debit (not credit) card.

Just switch to using the CC option on your card, then the retailers will pay the banks again and you won't have to think about it

The debit fees are war between the Wal-Mart lobby and the BofA lobby to limit the fees--Wal-Mart doesn't want to pay them like they already do with CC

In San Francisco the police game out and broke up the protests citing encampment, open flame in public, sleeping on streets, etc. An assortment of vagranciy type laws. The thing I can't grasp about this is where are they when all the homeless are doing the same thing?

I support OWS and their Constitutional right to peacefully assemble.

Thanks for the info but I switched to a credit union. No fees.
