I would like to avoid the dealer, So I'm checking here to see if any of you guys know or have a good diesel mechanic here in the OC. Would be nice if it was close to my home Garden Grove area so it wouldn't need to be towed.

Its a 05 F250 6.0, yeah yeah... no need to start in on the powerjoke :listenmus

I do all of my own work but I've had good luck with two places when I haven't had the time to do it myself.

Buds Diesel down in Mission Viejo: They helped me solve an issue that noone else could or would. I can't say enough about their professionalism and attitude. they worked with me on diagnosing my trucks issue and didn't me charge me anywhere near what it cost them in time. For wierd stuff I would absolutely go there.

The only other place I've used recently is OC Fleet in Santa Ana. They did some work on my Motorhome when I was time crunched. They were on the high side but they did the work quickly and I had my rig back as promised for the promised price.

That being said, what do you need done? Maybe I can help out

Not sure yet, it seems to be fuel related. I was going to pull the cat/particulate to make sure it wasn't plugged up. Someone said they pulg up and make the issues i'm having. I've checked the FICM and for wire wire chafing, turbo still spools under load. runs ruff and has a lack of power.

I'm getting two injector codes P0271 and P0277, I dont just want to throw parts at it. Or take it to a shop that wants to do the same thing.

If you have the time and would like to swing by, I'm off harbor and westminster.

the best source for info on these is Ford-trucks.com. I posted an issue and a guy responded....turned out he lived around the corner and came over and helped me fix it!

I doubt it is your FICM but is it 45V or less? It should run at 45 but not less than that.
