On a serious note, he really is correct. What most people refuse to admit is that Obama's opposition just happens to include a heck of a lot of inbred, white, militant, gun owners....not the right crowd to piss off. The main reason I voted McCain is that I honestly believed he had a much better chance of actually living through his 4 year term.
Althought, I really do like the "long legged mac daddy" reference. =)
Obama's gonna outspend GWBush by a factor of two and we (the average American) will have nothing but a broken country to show for it. The poor will have long since squandered away all their handouts from the Obama administration and the liberals will begin a giant campaign to convince people that it is the conservatives' fault that the country went down the tubes. They will claim that nothing short of their brand of liberalism ( socialism in reality ) is the only answer to rescue the poor people from the oppression they are experiencing. Sound familiar? Anybody remember a guy named A. Hitler? You see when people are at the worst of economic times, they are most vulnerable to radical ideas that turn out to be horrific. I can only hope that guys like Rush Limbaugh can rally people around a return to the core values on which our beloved country was found and force people to take responsibility for themselves and quit looking to the federal government to support them and keep them down for the long run.
Are you kidding me? Rush? Mr. If You Don't Agree With Me, You're UnAmerican? How is that not taking away your right to free speech? Here's the truth that both sides are either too blind, or perhaps too stupid, to see. Neither Democrats nor Republicans are going to fix this country. You need an American. Someone who does not put their party before the well being of the average Joe American. The problems of this country come FROM people like Rush and Chris Matthews. If you voted for McCain because he's a Republican, and you're a Republican, then congratulations, you share in the blame for what's happened to this country. Similarly, if you voted for Obama because he's a Democrat and you're a Democrat, then congratulations, you share in the blame as well. The problem isn't Washington. Washington will only get away with what we let them get away with. The problem is the American public. The problem is that we vote for the same people over and over. Here's a question for you, if Congress had an approval rating of less than 20%, then why did all the same people who were running get re-elected? Because people are too stupid to realize that their senator/representative is part of that Congress. "Oh, Congress sucks! Except for my guy." So everything they are doing is because they know that the American public is just going to re-elect them again. Stop blaming Washington when you, the voters, are the ones to blame. I am closer to what was called in the 80's, a "Reagen Democrat", or on the other side of the aisle, a moderate conservative. I'm dead center. I'll vote for whoever I feel is a better choice. But those of you spouting on about how democrats are going to fix what the republicans broke, or how republicans are going to be our saviors, need a serious, and I mean SERIOUS, reality check. The real problems here are that Americans forgot who really runs this place, and we let Washington run hog wild. That Americans put a party before their country.
I'll admit I voted for Obama. I honestly did not see all this Gov't take over crap coming. Now I am sitting here and wondering how are we going to pay for all this crap? All this bailout money and Chrysler and GM still went down. LOL Now we are gicing them(Gov't) more with a cash for clunkers program. Give me a break. I was listening to the news the other day and they were saying it will be impossible for Obama not to raise taxes on the middle class due to the debt he has created. So, he basically has lied to us. That being said I don't feel much better about what the republicans do. However, I would rather let the economy go through its cycle and let those who work hard for good jobs, healthcare, etc.. not pay for those who don't.
Very true. But still, where is the money coming from in the first place? Who is going to pay for it? That is where I am worried. I seem to fit right in the meat of the tax bracket where I don't make enough to get ahead, yet I make enough where they tax the crap out of me.
