We were actually really lucky. We basically did a really fast u-turn, at 75 MPH.

My wife was driving and ended up with a few scratches on her arm from the broken window. I was fine. Besides that she was pretty shaken up about it. The truck was 6 months old and I don't even think I had the trailer for two months at that point. She felt really bad and had trouble understanding why I wasn't pissed at her. Unfortunately, it happens. Not much I could do about it then. :dunno:
After we got out of the truck, called 911, and made sure everybody was fine my next thought was that I had to get the camera and document this.

So I climbed back in the truck to find the camera and started taking pictures.
That was quite the day. The tow truck driver ended up stuck in the sand as he tried to hook up to the trailer. The sheriff called another officer with an F150 to pull out the tow truck. Just as they started to get the tow truck moving all the officers started running around and unhooked the F150 from the tow truck. They said there was a hot pursuit in town a few miles away. So, there we were in the middle of nowhere with a tow truck stuck in the sand. I ended up using his aluminum shovel to dig out the tow truck.
Once we finally got the tow truck out, I jumped in the tow truck to head back into town. He was going to drop me off at the police station where the in laws were expecting to pick us up. When I got in the tow truck his passenger seat belt didn't work. He said not to worry, the cops don't bother him about it. After just surviving a roll over I couldn't really care less about what the cops would say. A seat belt would have been really nice.
When I got to the police station all of the cops were sitting around doing nothing and had not even bothered to see if we had made it out. Turns out the hot pursuit was a foot pursuit. :sure:
To make things even better, after we got back to the in laws we decided to go see a movie to take our mind off things. So we saw the Bourne Supremacy. I think we could have made a wiser choice that day considering the movie opens with a car accident where the girl dies. :looser: I was feeling pretty crappy at that point.
We borrowed the brother in laws truck to take to the movie. After the movie we went to start it and the battery was dead. It was not our day. :banghead:
