Well since there is no one running against Jon (Bronzewrym) in this special election, (announcement period is over - and the nomination period is now closed)
I'm not going to bother with creating a special poll thread just for voting either.
And since he's basically running unopposed, I'm not sure he needs any "official votes" ....but figure we need to go thru the motions none the less and make it official.
Voting has to last one week.



So...with that..... my official vote goes to Jon.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but in order to remain a chapter, we need to have 3 BOD members.... if some troublemakers decide it would be "funny" to ban together and vote to abstain from having a treasurer position, ....and win....there would be no more NWC.
I see where you're coming from on this, but I think it would put the chapter in harms way for a technically unnecessary measure. (just sayin')

abstain doesn't go that way. An abstain cannot win an election because abstain is not a person. Abstain is a vote to go nowhere.
a contested vote if you will.

without s voting poll your removing the members right to vote for the bod as per the bylaws IIRC.

No. A vote for abstain is not a vote against John, its the same as not bothering to vote at all.

If he gets 1 vote, he wins, but you still have to go through the song and dance of an election.

I don't think someone who is so quick to threaten somebodys (3-4 somebodys) safety should be any part of in charge of the chapter.

Then you should have nominated a viable and interested candidate you felt was better suited.

The process is pretty simple and clear.
